Good cooler up against strong competition

This is a good 120mm cooler that is nicely finished and looks good in a build. The performance is comparable to most of the coolers it competes with at its price point, but there are a lot to choose from.Installation was easy and everything needed is included, including thermal paste (which I did not use). The cooler and the fan are attractive to look at - they look higher quality than they feel in the hand. But once it's installed you aren't going to be touching it anyway. The lights on the fan are simple but well implemented. The fan is louder than fans supplied with competing units and doesnt seem to perform any better for the extra volume, but performance is adequate for the cooler which cools a mid-tier cpu just fine.Overall it's a decent enough cooler and if you like the look of it then it's unlikely to disappoint. Its biggest issue is that there's a lot of competition at this price point these days, including some very good options from Thermalright.

Great Price and Solid Quality

Excellent value for the price. Keeps temps low even under load, runs quiet, and looks great with the RGB fan. Installation was straightforward, compatibility is solid, and performance easily competes with more expensive air coolers. Hard to beat for a budget-friendly but reliable CPU cooler.

Surprisingly Effective Budget CPU Cooler

TL;DR:I bought the Vetroo V5E cooler because I wanted something affordable and so far, it’s done a good job. My Ryzen stays cool, even when I’m using it heavily and the ARGB lighting looks nicer than I thought it would. The fan can get a little loud at full speed but adjusting the fan curve in the BIOS fixed that. For the price, I’m satisfied.Full Review:I recently bought the Vetroo V5E CPU Air Cooler – the black one with the brushed finish because I needed a cheap cooling solution. I wasn't expecting much but I've got to say, I was pleasantly surprised given it's $30 price point.Right off the bat, the cooler feels pretty solid. It's definitely not some cheap plastic thing. The ARGB fan is a cool addition; it gives my PC build a bit of style. Installation was pretty easy since I'm using an AMD setup and could just reuse the stock backplate. My only real complaint is the spring-loaded screws on the mounting brackets – they were a little annoying. I was worried I was tightening them too much, even though they're supposed to prevent that. Getting them perfectly straight with the heatsink in the way was a bit tricky. But the main thing is performance, and this cooler delivers. My Ryzen idles in the low 30s, which is awesome. Even when I put it under a heavy load – I ran Cinebench 2024 to really push it – the temperatures never exceeded the upper 60s (68.5°C, to be exact). That's with good airflow in my case, so your results might be a little different but still, I'm impressed! I was a little worried about the small gaps between the heat pipes on the base at first but it doesn't seem to affect performance at all. The part that touches the CPU is polished nicely. Here's the thing, though: the noise. The fan is LOUD straight out of the box. It really wants to run at 1800 RPM, but the cooling is totally fine at much lower speeds, like 700-900 RPM. I messed around with the fan curves in my BIOS and honestly, the temperature difference was barely noticeable. The fan uses a hydraulic bearing, which is pretty standard for the price, so I highly recommend tweaking the fan curve to make it more bearable. They say the cooler is rated for 220W TDP, which works for most CPUs, especially AMD. If you're an Intel user pushing for crazy overclocks, you might want to get something more powerful. It comes with a second set of fan clips, so you could do a push/pull setup but if you need that, you're probably better off just getting a bigger cooler in the first place.Basically, the Vetroo V5E is a great deal for the money. It cools well, the fan seems decent and the ARGB is a nice little bonus. If you're on a tight budget and just need something to keep your CPU cool without doing any extreme overclocking, this is a great choice.---For anyone interested, the exact product I purchased was listed as:Vetroo V5E CPU Air Cooler with Brushed Finish Design & 5 Heat Pipes, 120mm FDB & PWM Fan, ARGB LED Lighting Sync Cooling for Intel LGA 1851/1700/1200/115X AMD AM5/AM4 - BlackThe ASIN for the version I received was: B0F2M86SYG

Easy to install and works great.

Vetroo V5E CPU Air Cooler ReviewIn the world of PC building and upgrades, choosing the right CPU cooler is crucial not just for the aesthetics of your build, but also for the thermal performance it delivers. The Vetroo V5E CPU Air Cooler recently caught my eye due to its impressive specifications and sleek design, and after using it for a couple of weeks, I am excited to share my detailed review.Design and Build Quality: ★★★★☆ (4/5)The Vetroo V5E boasts a stunning brushed finish that enhances the overall aesthetic of any build. It strikes a balance between modernity and elegance, making it suitable for both gaming and professional setups. The attention to detail in the design is evident, from the smooth contours to the well-engineered heat pipes that complement the cooler’s blacked-out look. The cooler is designed to be durable, with scratch-resistant properties and a solid overall build quality that leaves a lasting impression. The materials used feel premium, and I have no doubt about their longevity. The only drawback is that the black finish, while stylish, can show fingerprints, so it requires occasional wiping to maintain its pristine look.Performance: ★★★★★ (5/5)This is where the Vetroo V5E truly shines. With five copper heat pipes in direct contact with the CPU and a high-density aluminum fin structure that increases surface area for heat dissipation, this cooler excels at keeping temperatures low, even under heavy loads.During my testing, I pushed my CPU to its limits while gaming and performing intensive tasks. I was impressed with how effectively the V5E maintained a stable temperature, outperforming my previous cooler by a noticeable margin. The large copper base ensures exceptional heat transfer, making it suitable for both high-end Intel and AMD processors.Noise Levels: ★★★★☆ (4/5)Equipped with a 120mm FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) & PWM fan, the V5E operates quietly – a significant advantage for users who value a noise-free environment. During normal operation, the fan remains whisper-quiet, and even under heavier loading conditions, it only ramps up to a moderate noise level before reaching its maximum RPM of 1800. This dynamic adjustment, thanks to the 4-Pin PWM control, helps maintain a balance between performance and acoustics, but I noticed that it could put out a slightly higher noise level during peak operation compared to some higher-end coolers.ARGB Lighting: ★★★★★ (5/5)The Vetroo V5E shines in the aesthetics department, thanks in part to its stunning ARGB LED lighting. The addressable RGB fans can be synchronized with my motherboard using the 5V 3-pin port, allowing me to set the perfect color scheme to match my overall build. This feature not only adds a stylish flair to my PC but also provides a level of customization that is often lacking in coolers at this price point. The lighting effects are vibrant and well-diffused, creating an eye-catching display that enhances the interior of any case.Compatibility: ★★★★★ (5/5)One of the highlights of the V5E is its extensive compatibility. It supports a range of Intel sockets including LGA 1851, 1700, 1200, and 115X, along with AMD's AM5 and AM4. This versatility means it's a viable choice for a wide array of CPU configurations, making it an excellent investment for anyone considering future upgrades.Overall Impression: ★★★★★ (5/5)The Vetroo V5E CPU Air Cooler is an excellent choice for anyone seeking optimal performance combined with aesthetic appeal. It performs brilliantly, keeping temperatures in check while adding an eye-catching element to your PC build. Its sturdy construction and reasonable noise levels solidify its standing as a high-quality cooler in its class.Given my experience, I would not hesitate to recommend the Vetroo V5E to anyone looking to enhance their cooling setup. It's a product that functions exactly as described and looks fantastic doing so. I would definitely consider purchasing it again if needed for future builds or upgrades.
